Job summary

C9Xperts Corp in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Senior Estimator to lead heavy civil project estimating from concept through bid submission. You will develop accurate cost estimates, assess risks, and coordinate with Operations to win profitable work.

This role requires 7–10+ years in heavy civil estimating, with background in earthwork, concrete structures, bridges or utilities, and proficiency with major estimating software. Hybrid schedule and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience with earthwork, concrete structures, bridges, utilities, or highway/industrial projects.
• Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software such as HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, InEight, AGTEK, Bluebeam, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed cost estimates for heavy civil projects typically exceeding $10M+.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and contracts to understand scope and risks.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and price labor, materials, equipment, and production rates.
• Solicit, evaluate, scope-align, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Project Management to validate construction methods, sequencing, and production assumptions.
• Prepare bid packages, assist with value engineering, and lead executive review presentations.
• Maintain historical cost databases and mentor junior estimating staff.

Position Summary

The Senior Estimator leads the estimating process for heavy civil construction projects from initial concept through final bid submission. This role develops accurate cost estimates, evaluates project risks, coordinates with operations, and plays a vital part in winning profitable work.

• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, B2W, InEight, AGTEK, Bluebeam, Excel).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Experience with Design-Build, USACE, or DOT infrastructure projects is a plus.
