Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Senior Estate Planning Strategist in Los Angeles with hybrid work options. You will serve as the senior estate-planning authority, guiding high-net-worth clients and coordinating with outside counsel and tax professionals.

The role emphasizes building advanced planning platforms, educating advisors, and delivering clear, client-ready presentations. Trailblazing leadership and 15-20% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant estate-planning experience across law firms, RIAs, family offices, private banks, or trust organizations.
• At least one of the following: JD, Tax LLM, AEP, or CFP.
• Strong knowledge of gift and estate taxation, trusts, intergenerational wealth transfer, and estate-document review.
• Experience reviewing gift and/or estate tax returns and advising high-net-worth clients.
• Clear, confident communication with clients, advisors, attorneys, and other professionals.
• Ability to travel approximately 15-20%.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the firm's technical authority on estate planning and identify opportunities for high-net-worth clients.
• Review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, account titling, beneficiary designations, and existing wealth-transfer structures.
• Build and maintain comprehensive plans using estate and financial-planning technology.
• Translate technical findings and software outputs into clear client and advisor presentations.
• Coordinate strategy implementation with outside counsel, tax professionals, and other advisors.
• Lead business succession and exit-planning conversations and contribute to advisor education and client content.
