Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Logistics Business Analyst for Huntsville, AL. The role centers on ERP content, detailed requirements, and validation with the customer, driving alignment across Army Logistics processes and technical assets.

You will leverage SQL, Python, PySpark, and Excel to analyze data and support cross-functional teams in complex deployments. The candidate will lead by example in analytics, process improvements, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong focus on ERP interfaces

Qualifications

• Master's degree and at least 10 years of Business Analyst experience
• Or a Bachelor's degree, and at least 12 years of Business Analyst experience
• Or an Associates degree, and at least 14 years of Business Analyst experience
• Or a High school diploma/GED, and at least 16 years of Business Analyst experience
• Background in Army logistics
• Understanding and awareness of ERP interfaces and dependencies
• Knowledge and understanding of the Logistics Enterprise transformation into an ERP-dominated environment
• Experience querying and analyzing data from various sources using tools (such as SQL, Python, PySpark, Vantage, etc.) to process large datasets in a distributed cluster
• A range of technical knowledge, including application development, project management, scheduling, etc.
• Active Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)

Responsibilities

• Senior subject matter expert associated with ERP content, processes and procedures.
• Defines detailed requirements, analyzes business needs, and validates solutions with the client.
• Details requirements through product development and other functions to support the project team.
• Monitors other business analysts in software development methods and processes and implementation of those methods.
• Evaluates development projects and tailors the development process to meet project needs.
• Assesses metadata documentation quality through automated and manual methods.
• Provides data/information to a reference repository for alignment of Army Business Processes and Technical Assets.
• Utilizes data analysis tools including SQL, Microsoft Access, and Excel to query data from multiple databases and sources.
• Maintains awareness of trends that could affect the customer (positive and negative).
