Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Ergonomic Consultant to identify musculoskeletal risk and lead corporate strategy to minimize exposures. You will develop practical solutions, training, programs, and procedures to enable Risk Engineering field consultants and policyholders to reduce and manage risk and injuries.

Travel to client sites is required (20-40%), and the role supports regional operations from the Northeast or Southeast with a remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with 3+ years of ergonomics consultation experience required.
• Academic focus on Occupational Safety and Health or Risk Management; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct policyholder ergonomic needs assessments to identify loss sources and opportunities for improvement.
• Lead cost-benefit presentations and ROI discussions with decision makers.
• Develop service plans to reduce musculoskeletal claims and improve operations.
• Perform job and workstation evaluations to identify musculoskeletal risks.
• Create engineering and administrative controls to reduce injuries and exposure.
• Develop training materials to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
• Review policies and programs and recommend improvements for effective administration.
• Analyze loss data to target exposures and reduce injuries.
• Provide guidance across Risk Engineering teams to ensure coordinated ergonomics services.
• Create tools and deliverables for ergonomic priorities and outcomes.
