Job summary
Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center, part of Thrive Pet Healthcare, is actively seeking a full-time Senior Emergency Veterinarian to join our 24/7 ER team in Round Rock, TX. You will collaborate with the medical director and specialists to set ER standards and mentor ER veterinarians, interns, and students while supporting ongoing CE and community outreach.
We prioritize compassionate, high-quality care and offer a progressive compensation model with base pay and production opportunities,
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) required.
- State Veterinary Board License in good standing prior to start date.
- Active DEA license or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in emergency medicine.
Responsibilities
- Foster CE and professional development to elevate ER medicine in the hospital.
- Provide ER mentorship and guide ER veterinarians to Thrive mentorship options.
- Schedule case reviews and M&M rounds with ER veterinarians.
- Mentor veterinary students during extern rotations.
- Develop an ER internship program.
- Deliver ER-specific CE to referring community.
