Job summary

Tharp Consulting is seeking a multi-discipline engineer to design, implement, and verify equipment for new model launches. You will use 3D CAD and simulations to define design specs and lead projects from conception to final design, coordinating with design and manufacturing teams to meet quality, cost, and safety targets.

The role involves travel and collaboration across internal and external teams, with primary office duties and some manufacturing floor support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and knowledge of automated equipment development.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing optimal machine concepts based on engineering principles.
• Providing technical support for equipment and processes.
• Supporting external suppliers and plant resources.
• Leading small to mid-sized projects from an engineering perspective.
• Conducting process studies and feedback to design teams.
• Creating specifications, scope documents, and schedules for project milestones.
• Supporting installation and verification activities on the manufacturing floor.
