Job summary

KBR, Inc. in Oceanside, CA is seeking an Engineer Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel engines and related equipment such as cranes, forklifts, tractors, and shovels. The role requires physical capability to lift 50 pounds and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting MVAC systems, performing rebuilds, and providing guidance to junior mechanics while supporting assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Six years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete MVAC course and hold a valid certificate.
• Must have valid state driver license and CAC/Base Access eligibility.
• Ability to read technical manuals, specifications, and measuring instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shoot and repair MVAC system.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Performs operator, intermediate and limited major rebuilds including spot painting.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
