Job summary

KBR in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic for heavy equipment. The role covers high-level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines, tractors, shovels, road machines, air compressors, and similar equipment.

You will provide guidance and training to junior mechanics and assist senior team members. The position requires travel up to 70% and deployment readiness.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines and related construction equipment.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
