Within the Division of Equipment (DOE), the incumbent is designated as a working lead-person, overseeing and directing the parts department staff engaged in Equipment Materiel Operations, including purchasing, inventory, disbursement, shipping, and receiving of equipment parts, materiel, related equipment, and services for fabrication, maintenance, repair, and disposal of mobile equipment. Extensive use of a Windows-based computer for input and retrieval of information is required. Possession of a class "C" driver's license is required. Receives supervision from the Equipment Materiel Manager I / II / III.

The Senior Equipment Materiel Specialist will primarily work in the shop parts department and may need to work in outside storage areas, warehouses, field mechanic locations, or highway maintenance warehouses, often in inclement weather. Trips to field mechanic locations may be required.
