Job summary

T1 Energy Inc. is seeking an Equipment Manager to lead all equipment engineering and maintenance at our G2 solar cell fab in Rockdale, Texas. This senior role requires managing complex tool environments and driving uptime in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will build and lead a team of engineers and technicians, implement maintenance programs, and own the spare parts strategy while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure tool safety and performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in equipment engineering and maintenance leadership in semiconductor/solar/advanced manufacturing.
• Experience managing multi‑platform tool environments (CVD, diffusion, implant, metrology, wet process).
• Proven track record building and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Strong understanding of OEE metrics and reliability improvement.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment engineering and maintenance across the G2 solar cell fab.
• Lead and develop equipment engineers and maintenance technicians across shifts.
• Establish preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize uptime.
• Drive qualification, installation, and acceptance for new tools.
• Own spare parts strategy, inventory, and vendor relationships.
• Monitor and improve OEE, drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Process, Facilities, and EHS to ensure safe, clean operations.
• Support ramp activities including tool installation and operator training.
