Job summary

Medtronic in North Haven, CT, is seeking a maintenance technician for a fully onsite 2nd shift (M-F 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM). The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and enhancements across a range of manufacturing systems used in medical device production.

Candidates should have at least 4 years of related experience, with strong skills in troubleshooting, electrical systems, PLCs, and CMMS documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience using CMMS and preventive maintenance programs.
• Willingness to work onsite on a 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair manufacturing equipment used in medical device production.
• Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and repair or replace components.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Troubleshoot machine controllers, PLCs, robotics, vacuum pumps, and other systems.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment history in CMMS.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and reliability initiatives.
• Assist with installations, commissioning, validations, and continuous improvement projects.
