Job summary

Proterra in Greer, SC is seeking a Maintenance technician to provide comprehensive support to the Maintenance Supervisor and site leadership. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production automation equipment and robotic systems, contributing to higher uptime.

Responsibilities include diagnosing complex faults, performing preventative maintenance, and documenting all activities in the CMMS. Strong PLC and robotics experience and the ability to work rotating shifts are preferred.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Mechatronics degree or 5 years of automation line experience.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley/Rockwell preferred).
Hands-on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc and Universal Robots preferred).
Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and documentation (MaintainX, Maximo, SAP, etc).
Experience participating in CI activities such as Kaizen, 5S, RCA, or FMEA.
Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, or on-call as required by production needs.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair production and automation equipment.
Diagnose and resolve urgent equipment failures to minimize downtime.
Execute preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and reliability.
Troubleshoot complex equipment using mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic skills.
Read manuals and diagrams to perform maintenance; interpret PLC logic for troubleshooting.
Document all maintenance in CMMS with parts, root cause, and actions.
Collaborate across shifts with engineering, operations, and automation teams.
