Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician in Spartanburg, SC to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, and mentor junior technicians.

Key responsibilities include preventative maintenance, safety compliance, and diagnosing electrical/mechanical issues across MHE.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent diploma.
• 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift work, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience.
• 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience.
• 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations staff.
• Be able to move up to 49 lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders and gangways, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching during shifts up to 12 hours.
