Fifth Third Bank seeks an Equipment Finance Tax Specialist to review complex commercial lease transactions and ensure Sales and Property Tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. You will research tax issues, support audits, and collaborate with Corporate Tax and Leasing teams to drive accurate tax reporting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to regulatory requirements within a large banking environment in Cincinnati, OH.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of accounting and/or compliance tax experience.
• Experience in the leasing industry (or comparable). (Compliance Tax refers to Sales & Use or Property Tax in this context).
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong Customer Service Orientation
• Excellent analytical ability
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• InfoLease or CCH experience is a plus.
• Working towards CMI designation or other related certification in compliance tax field is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Review complex lease transactions for correct tax codes; conduct sales and property tax reviews.
• Perform post-booking internal audits of new lease setup and compliance.
• Research regulatory changes impacting leasing tax; support audits and disputes.
• Coordinate tax amendments and refunds with relevant teams; ensure timely filings.
• Assist with data accuracy, reporting, and reconciliation related to sales and property tax.
