Job summary

Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Claims Technical Specialist to manage claims for equine policies. Ideal candidates will be based in Lexington, KY or Ocala, FL and bring deep knowledge of good-faith claims handling and strong investigative skills.

Responsibilities include applying guidelines, gathering information, coordinating with agents and external counsel, and delivering superior service. A valid adjuster license and experience in equine or farm insurance are preferred.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred.
• Experience in equine, livestock or farm insurance claims.
• Knowledge of state-specific claim handling guidelines and good faith claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with claim handling guidelines for coverage, investigation, evaluation, and resolution.
• Gather and analyze information to evaluate claims and make decisions within authority.
• Maintain accurate data and documentation of claims in the system.
• Interact with agents and external customers to resolve questions and deliver excellent service.
• Direct and monitor assignments to experts and outside counsel.
• Participate in special projects and assist team members as needed.
