Job summary

AXIS Capital in the United States is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist for Employment Practices Liability and Fiduciary claims. You will investigate, analyze, and evaluate coverage, attend mediations and trials as needed, and mentor junior adjusters while supporting underwriting and actuarial teams.

Applicants should hold a Juris Doctorate, demonstrate teamwork and deadlines, and have litigation management, investigation, dispute resolution, and drafting coverage letters.

Qualifications

• JD required and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience in litigation management, investigation and dispute resolution.
• Experience independently drafting coverage letters.
• Excellent oral and written communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Handle and manage complex Employment Practices Liability Claims to determine valuation and settlement.
• Attend mediations and monitor trials as necessary.
• Draft coverage correspondence and negotiate complex coverage issues.
• Mentor junior claims adjusters.
• Support underwriting and actuarial teams with data and analytics.
• Maintain relationships with senior executives, brokers, underwriters, insureds, and outside counsel.
• Manage costs in collaboration with Litigation Management and Vendor Management teams.
• Maintain accurate records and timely data entry.
