Job summary

Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director in Epidemiology Analytics to lead safety data science activities, analyzing clinical trial and real-world data to support signal detection and risk-benefit assessment.

You will collaborate with statisticians, epidemiologists, and cross-functional teams to produce rigorous results and regulatory-ready insights. The role requires advanced degrees in biostatistics or related fields and a track record of leading large statistical programming

Qualifications

• Master's degree plus a minimum of 7 years of experience in epidemiologic methods and data analysis in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Or Doctorate degree plus a minimum of 4 years of experience in epidemiologic methods and data analysis.
• 3+ years of professional experience in pharma safety or related services.
• Proven statistics programming experience and leadership on large projects.
• Ability to mentor junior programmers and work across cultures.

Responsibilities

• Provide data management of diverse data to set up epidemiologic datasets and perform analyses.
• Conduct descriptive, multivariable regression analyses for epidemiology research and safety queries.
• Explore safety endpoints in clinical trial data.
• Design and analyze case-control and cohort studies.
• Perform signal detection analyses in spontaneous reports and in RWD.
• Develop automation tools (e.g., R Shiny apps) to streamline workflows.
• Perform literature reviews and meta-analyses; support regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with global epidemiology teams to ensure consistent safety reporting.
