Job summary

University of Chicago Medicine is seeking a Senior Business Applications Analyst focused on Epic Cogito and Clarity for the Community Connect team. This remote role supports the Epic analytics suite (Clarity, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer, Cogito SQL) and may involve travel for Go-lives.

You will implement, maintain and optimize analytics tools, design data models, collaborate with data analysts and infrastructure teams, and mentor junior analysts. Strong SQL and Epic certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Certification in Epic Cogito Tools and Administration
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in programming, CS, healthcare, business management or information systems
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with managing and developing reports using Epic's analytics platform
• Expertise in SQL programming
• Experience with State and Federal Regulatory Reporting requirements
• Must have issue tracking and resolution skills
• Must be able to prioritize, organize, and assess work to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with process improvement methods (methods analysis, work sampling, statistical, financial, and systems analysis)
• Experience developing presentations for project work
• Capable of working with diverse, remote teams and documenting business processes
• Proven problem-solving and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and support Epic analytics tools (Clarity, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer, Business Objects, Cognit ive Computing)
• Participate in architecture, design and integration of reporting tools and development lifecycle
• Provide system administration for Clarity/Caboodle/SlicerDicer/Radar/Cogito SQL
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, downstream customers and vendors
• Configure, deploy and support Caboodle/Slicer Dicer data models
• Implement data quality frameworks and data quality checks
• Collaborate with SMEs, data analysts and data developers to create reusable data sets
• Design, build, and test applications addressing complex business requests
• Analyze business and user needs and document requirements
• Troubleshoot and fix complex application issues
• On-call support
• Guide and mentor less-experienced Business System Analysts
• Maintain professionalism under pressure
