Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks an experienced process engineer to lead GaAs/InP‑based optoelectronic device production by MOCVD, focusing on sustaining growth and recipe improvement.

You will analyze epitaxial data, adjust production recipes to maintain high yield, and apply SPC methods for process control in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

This role requires cleanroom work, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to move between office and manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• M.S. in Ch.E., M.E. Physics, E.E., or related fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience with MOCVD growth of GaAs/InP-based materials or related semiconductor processing.

Responsibilities

• Familiarity with epitaxial growth evaluation using XRD, ECV, PL and reflectance.
• Sustain production engineering by evaluating epitaxial data and adjusting recipes to maintain high yield.
• Utilize SPC software (JMP) for statistical analysis of process stability.
