Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Oakland, California, with at least 10 years of experience in the Electrical Utility industry. This role leads Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects supporting utility infrastructure across North America. The ideal candidate will manage complex transmission and distribution projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of project management experience in Electrical Transmission & Distribution.
• Proven track record delivering EPC projects for utilities or energy infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of transmission line construction.
• Strong understanding of substation engineering and construction.
• Strong understanding of distribution system upgrades.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
• Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, and financial performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful execution of Electrical EPC projects, including transmission lines and substations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for utility clients.
• Manage project scope, deliverables, and overall execution strategy.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and monitor project budgets and financial performance metrics.
• Administer EPC contracts and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture across all project phases.
