Job summary

ARB, Inc. in Irvine, California seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead engineering from design to commissioning on EPC power generation and energy storage projects. You will interface with internal teams and external stakeholders, traveling to active sites as needed, and guiding constructability and change management.

You will oversee field engineers and document control, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule alignment with contractual requirements and project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
• Minimum of 5+ years of EPC project experience in power generation, renewables, or energy storage.
• Experience supporting large EPC projects from engineering through construction; BESS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the engineering interface among subcontractors, owners, vendors, and construction teams.
• Coordinate design development through construction and commissioning across multiple sites.
• Ensure deliverables meet contract requirements, schedule, and client expectations.
• Lead design reviews, progress meetings, and technical workshops.
• Manage project document control (RFIs, submittals, drawings, specs).
• Mentor field engineers and support change management and constructability reviews.
• Support commissioning with complete engineering documentation aligned to as-builts.
