Job summary

RTX, a leader in defense technology, seeks a Senior Electro-Optical Integration & Test Engineer for its Tucson, AZ campus. You will lead imaging sensor subsystems development, hardware integration, verification, and transition to production, connecting optics, electronics, mechanics, and software to ensure cohesive performance.

You will design and execute system-level tests, build automated test tools, analyze data, and support production with documentation and process improvements in an on-site

Qualifications

• Degree in science, engineering, or math with 5+ years experience
• Experience in electro-optical or imaging systems and hardware test
• Experience with system-level integration and verification of complex hardware
• Experience with test data analysis and interpretation

Responsibilities

• Lead optical and electro-mechanical alignment of EO subsystems
• Integrate detectors, optics, electronics, and firmware into hardware assemblies
• Develop system-level test plans for development and production programs
• Design and implement automated test processes and data acquisition tools
• Analyze test data and develop models for verification and root-cause investigations
• Design and maintain EO subsystem test fixtures and support equipment
• Troubleshoot hardware issues at component and system levels
• Support production activities including documentation and yield improvements
• Participate in technical reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
