Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sr. Manager, Environment and Sustainability to lead the enterprise-wide environmental stewardship and sustainability strategy.

You will guide regulatory compliance, climate programs, resource conservation, and ESG reporting while partnering with executives to drive environmental performance across sites. Qualifications

Minimum 10 years in environmental management, sustainability, ESG.
Minimum 5 years leading environmental or sustainability programs/teams.
Experience developing sustainability strategies in complex, multi-site organizations.
Experience developing ESG reports and disclosures preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for environmental stewardship and sustainability strategy across the organization.
Oversee environmental compliance, risk management, and regulatory interactions.
Direct ESG reporting and sustainability data collection, analysis and disclosures.
Lead climate-related programs including greenhouse gas reduction, energy management, and resource conservation.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across functions to advance sustainability priorities.
Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships for sustainability initiatives.
Develop and mentor a high-performing environmental and sustainability team.
Stay ahead of industry trends and benchmark performance against standards.
