What You Will Do

Influences:

• Leads environmental programs; develops and conducts environmental communication and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance, manages regulatory documentation, and prepares and submits environmental reports.
• Participates in developing guidelines, SOPs, procedures, and policies, and oversees their implementation.
• Acts as an environmental advocate promoting recycling, waste minimization, substitution of hazardous chemicals, and water and energy conservation.

Guides:

• Facilitates ISO 14001 conformance by collaborating with Environmental Management on data, metrics, document management, annual aspect scoring, and setting Objectives and Targets.
• Coordinates and manages the Corporate Environmental Affairs document control system.
• Coordinates site-wide hazardous waste management activities and liaises with waste disposal contractors and representatives.

What You Need

• Bachelor of Science plus 4 years of EHS experience, or 2 years of OMDP experience with 2 years of EHS experience, or comparable military experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 8 years of EHS experience or comparable military experience.
• Experience with federal, state, and local environmental laws (CAA, CWA, RCRA), environmental auditing, regulatory reporting, and ISO 14001.
• Title V air permit program management experience.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and reliable vehicle; candidate must pass a motor vehicle check and obtain the appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days if necessary.
• Must be 18 years or older.

What Will Set You Apart

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental/Ecological Science, Chemistry, or Biology plus 5 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in glass, chemical, or heavy industry manufacturing EHS programs.
