Job summary

Bio-Tech Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Environmental Scientist to support wetlands delineations, ecological fieldwork, and regulatory documentation across Florida. This role emphasizes hands-on data collection, sampling, and collaboration with project teams and regulatory agencies.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of experience in environmental science or ecological consulting, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or related field.
• Five or more years of professional experience in environmental science or ecological consulting.
• Experience with ecological field investigations, site assessments, and wetlands delineations.
• Proficiency in environmental sampling techniques and data analysis.
• Knowledge of federal/state environmental regulations including Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and CERCLA.
• Experience preparing technical reports and regulatory submittals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ecological field investigations and environmental site assessments, including wetlands delineations and habitat evaluations.
• Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, air, and biological media sampling.
• Collect vegetation, soils, hydrology indicators, and ecological data in the field.
• Analyze and interpret environmental data and trends.
• Support environmental monitoring programs and regulatory compliance activities.
• Prepare technical reports, environmental impact assessments, and permit applications.
