Job summary

AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. seeks a Senior Scientist/Ecologist for our Henderson/Las Vegas, NV office to conduct field investigations and support NEPA documentation. You will lead field teams, coordinate with clients and regulators, and prepare technical findings for reporting and permits.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in waters of the US, wetlands, tortoise surveys, and related permitting, with strong analytical and writing skills. Occasional travel and in-field leadership are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant natural resources experience.
• Experience identifying waters of the US and wetlands.
• Familiar with NEPA permitting and USACE processes.
• Authorized Biologist for Mojave Desert Tortoise preferred.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead field investigations and coordinate field logistics.
• Prepare technical reports and assist permit/NEPA documents.
• Conduct vegetation, aquatic, and tortoise surveys.
• Maintain field notes and data for project objectives.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in field operations.
