Job summary

Environmental Resources Management (ERM) in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Consultant, Environmental Scientist to support environmental permitting, due diligence, impact assessments, and regulatory compliance across renewable energy, oil & gas, power, and technology sectors.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, perform field surveys, prepare technical reports, and help manage project risks while traveling up to 30% to client locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or master's degree in environmental science, biology, natural resources, planning, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant environmental experience or professional internships.
• Ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather and challenging terrain.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform field surveys, sampling, and inspections; collect and organize field data; conduct literature reviews and prepare field notes and reports.
• Assist with wetland delineations and habitat assessments using GPS tools and GIS.
• Provide technical assistance on environmental due diligence services, habitat assessments, wetland delineations and reports, and Phase I ESAs.
• Support compliance management plans and permitting documentation for federal, state, and local requirements.
• Deliver assignments within quality, budget, schedule, and project scope expectations.
