Job summary

AISES is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to develop and execute the environmental component of an Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) program. You will apply biology, ecology, chemistry, and related disciplines to manage environmental aspects of a project or facility, reporting to an Environmental Manager or ESH Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in environmental science or related field from an accredited university.
• Four or more years of experience in environmental sciences or regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting semiconductor or complex manufacturing projects preferred.
• Ability to evaluate environmental risk and utilize sound judgment in fast-paced construction environments.
• Ability to communicate environmental risks clearly to project leadership and client representatives.
• Experience with environmental impact assessments.
• Excellent oral and written communication; proficient in data management and reporting.
• Analytical skills related to sampling, monitoring, and recordkeeping.
• Willingness to work outdoors and support multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 Management System standards.

Responsibilities

• Integrate environmental requirements into project planning, permitting, design and operations.
• Assist in execution of environmental permits, plans, and assessments.
• Monitor and enforce environmental requirements for subcontractors and field teams.
• Conduct site assessments and develop mitigation and sustainability strategies.
• Provide guidance on mitigation measures for natural and cultural resources.
• Support environmental risk management for hazardous chemicals and construction activities.
• Assist ESH teams with permitting, risk assessment, and program execution.
• Identify and track environmental issues, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder concerns.
• Participate in emergency response and aid investigation of ESH incidents.
• Perform environmental monitoring, sampling, and inspections to verify compliance.
