Position Overview

The Central Valley Flood Protection Board (CVFPB) is responsible for ensuring standards for flood control systems in California's Central Valley. This position serves as the CVFPB's Tribal Liaison, facilitating government-to-government consultations, attending Tribal Advisor Meetings, and integrating tribal considerations into flood management policies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and evaluate environmental documents to ensure CEQA compliance.
  2. Work with legal counsel to ensure project compliance with environmental laws.
  3. Prepare staff reports and present recommendations at public meetings.
  4. Evaluate CVFPB actions to incorporate strategies for tribal and community needs.
Minimum Requirements

Additional Information

Work location: Sacramento with a hybrid telework arrangement.

Special Requirements

A valid California Class C driver license is required. Ability to work in adverse conditions and ascend/descend slopes is necessary.
