Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager - Natural Resources to lead environmental permitting, ecological studies, and regulatory compliance for transportation, water resources, utility, and site development projects across Florida.

This role emphasizes leadership, mentoring staff, business development, and client engagement with agencies such as FDEP, USACE, and USFWS, delivering high-quality reports and permitting strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related field.
• 10+ years in natural resources consulting, environmental permitting, ecological assessments, or environmental compliance.
• Experience developing strategic growth initiatives and supporting business development objectives.
• Proven track record of leading pursuits and winning new work.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (CWA, ESA, NEPA) and Florida permitting.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, marketing, client account management, and proposals to grow RK&K's Natural Resources Practice in Florida.
• Manage natural resources, environmental permitting, and ecological compliance projects from proposal through completion.
• Serve as project manager and technical lead for environmental assessments, permitting, and resource studies.
• Develop permitting strategies and coordinate environmental reviews for transportation, water resources, utility, and land development projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
