Job summary

RK&K is seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager - Natural Resources to lead Florida-based environmental permitting, natural resource assessments, and ecological studies for transportation, water resources, utility, and site development projects.

The ideal candidate will guide the NR practice, mentor staff, and drive client development while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality technical deliverables throughout Florida.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in natural resources consulting, environmental permitting, ecological assessments, or environmental compliance.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (CWA, ESA, NEPA) and Florida permit requirements.
• Proven track record leading pursuits, preparing proposals, interviewing, and winning new work.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development, marketing, client account management, and proposals to support growth of RK&K's Natural Resources Practice in Florida.
• Manage natural resources, environmental permitting, and ecological compliance projects from proposal through completion.
• Serve as a project manager and technical lead for environmental assessments, permitting, and resource studies.
• Develop permitting strategies and coordinate environmental reviews for transportation, water resources, utility, and land development projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage permit applications, environmental documentation, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Provide technical leadership for wetlands, protected species, habitat assessments, mitigation planning, and ecological studies.
• Mentor and develop junior staff while supporting practice growth.
