Job summary

Haley & Aldrich seeks a Project Manager, Environmental Engineer or Geologist to lead and execute complex environmental projects in the Bay Area from our Walnut Creek, Oakland, or San Jose offices. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, health and safety, and regulatory deliverables while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental Engineering or Geology (Master’s preferred), 8–12 years of local Bay Area consulting experience, and PE or PG

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• 8–12 years of local Bay Area environmental consulting experience.
• California PE or PG registration, as appropriate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently lead project teams to achieve project and client goals and objectives.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and financial acumen.
• Proficient computer literacy, including MS Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project execution with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and health and safety.
• Manage the full project lifecycle, including scoping, cost estimating, proposal support, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, resource planning, and financial management.
• Plan and manage site characterization programs, including coordination of field investigations.
• Evaluate and interpret geologic and site characterization data, develop conceptual site models, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare and/or review work plans, technical reports, and regulatory submittals.
• Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor staff and review work products to support consistent quality and knowledge transfer.
• Plan all work in accordance with health and safety protocols.
• Demonstrate the company’s foundational safety behaviors.
