Job summary

Timmons Group is seeking an Environmental Project Manager for the Environmental Group in our Richmond, VA office. The role oversees the delivery of technically sound environmental documents and independently coordinates with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and timely project completion.

The successful candidate will manage projects, prepare proposals, and mentor Environmental Technicians and Scientists while maintaining strong client communications and delivering on budget expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field(s) with coursework; equivalent work experience considered.
• Six+ years of environmental consulting experience preferred.
• Current registration as a Professional Soil Scientist, Wetland Professional, or Professional Geologist in one or more states is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, produce, and deliver technically sound environmental products on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies on permitting tasks to ensure compliance.
• Develop proposals including time schedules and cost estimates for proposed work.
• Mentor and guide Environmental Technicians and Scientists on project tasks.
• Independently communicate with clients on technical matters as a subject matter expert.
