The role emphasizes CT environmental regulations, LEP preferred, and delivering high-quality environmental reports and guidance to clients and regulators. The candidate will mentor staff, tackle environmental challenges across diverse projects, and collaborate with a project management team to grow GEI’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or similar Science.
• 10+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting.
• Seller/Doer mentality with ability to secure work opportunities.
• Experience with CT DEEP regulations and LEP programs.
• NYSDEC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop investigation and remedial strategies for various sites and contaminants, incl. Environmental Use Restrictions per CT DEEP and LEP.
• Lead projects in CT, Central MA, and NY in collaboration with engineers and scientists.
• Manage projects and direct activities of staff.
• Lead environmental site assessments and remedial investigations.
• Prepare and review work plans and technical reports.
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Develop proposals and support business development.
• Participate in industry organizations and networking events.
