Job summary

VRX, Inc in Houston is seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist with 10–15 years in environmental consulting to join our growing team. This doer-seller role combines business development with hands-on project leadership to deliver high‑quality environmental solutions.

You will manage client accounts, lead proposals through execution, mentor junior staff, and help expand our Texas Gulf Coast presence on complex projects spanning regulatory coordination, data evaluation, reporting, and technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15 years of experience in environmental consulting.
• Proven doer-seller with track record in business development.
• Strong project management with budget and scheduling responsibility.
• Solid knowledge of Texas and federal environmental regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, pursue, and win new business through existing client relationships and new market opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted technical and strategic advisor to clients.
• Lead and manage environmental projects from proposal through execution and closeout.
• Prepare and oversee proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets.
• Perform and oversee technical work, including data evaluation, reporting, and regulatory coordination.
• Mentor and support junior staff and contribute to team development.
• Collaborate with leadership to support regional growth strategies.
