Job summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Project Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join its collaborative Irvine, CA team. This role focuses on identifying and managing environmental and engineering projects, supervising field investigations and lab analyses, and advancing environmental restoration and redevelopment of blighted properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science (Master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
• Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work within existing projects, and attend business development meetings.
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff; coach, train, and motivate team members.
• Supervise field activities and ensure correct data collection and laboratory analyses are completed on time and within budget.
• Prepare progress reports, change orders, and draft invoices; assist in payments.
• Organize, write, and edit reports and proposals; coordinate cross-office teams as needed.
• Interface with clients, contractors, staff, and project personnel professionally.
