Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., CAC, CDPH)
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry‑specific platforms
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies effectively

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, write, review, and finalize asbestos, lead, hazardous materials, survey, and air monitoring reports.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for asbestos and lead-related projects.
  • Review field documentation, laboratory results, photographs, drawings, and other project information to develop complete and accurate technical reports.
  • Help manage and coordinate survey field staff, including project assignments, field activities, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Provide technical direction and support to field personnel performing asbestos, lead, and hazardous materials surveys and air monitoring.
  • Ensure field activities and reporting comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and client-specific requirements.
  • Maintain an intimate working knowledge of applicable regulations and standards, including SCAQMD, Cal/OSHA, AHERA, and EPA requirements.
  • Attend client meetings for survey, air monitoring, and related environmental projects.
  • Communicate project findings, technical requirements, schedules, and recommendations clearly to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with clients, field personnel, laboratories, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Review project scopes and requirements prior to field mobilization to ensure appropriate sampling, documentation, and regulatory protocols are followed.
  • Provide quality assurance/quality control review of reports and other technical deliverables.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
  • Monitor project progress and help ensure work is completed according to scope, schedule, budget, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
  • Support the development and mentoring of field staff by providing technical guidance and reviewing field documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized project records and documentation.
  • Participate in additional environmental consulting and project management activities as business needs require.
