Job Summary

CSG Consultants, Inc. is considering candidates for a full-time, hybrid Senior Environmental Planner/CEQA Project Manager position within the Planning Services Group, specifically in Environmental Planning. The role involves managing projects, handling CEQA compliance assignments, and developing CEQA documentation for clients across California. It also offers opportunities for business development and proposal work, with diverse projects and communities.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects and proposals as a Project Manager.
  • Prepare environmental documentation for development, infrastructure, and policy projects.
  • Lead in preparing CEQA documents such as exemptions, initial studies, EIRs, and related studies, complying with CEQA and NEPA as needed.
  • Ensure CEQA requirements are met through analysis and documentation.
  • Serve as the client contact for CEQA deliverables, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Create and adhere to project schedules, scopes, and budgets.
  • Prioritize workload and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Incorporate research and sub-consultant reports into environmental documents.
  • Contribute to proposals, administrative tasks, and project delivery.
  • Seek feedback, foster creativity, and implement innovative ideas.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, geography, planning, or related field (or in progress).
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in environmental analysis, preferably with government or consulting firms.
  • Familiarity with CEQA processes and project management experience.
  • Knowledge of Appendix G of CEQA Guidelines and relevant California regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud is a plus.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 - $180,000 annually, based on skills and experience. Benefits include 401(k), ESOP, paid holidays, PTO, health insurance, and professional development programs.
