Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Environmental Permitting Manager for the Rochester, NY area with a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves reviewing project scopes to determine applicable permits and coordinating filing, approvals, and compliance across federal, state, and local agencies.

You will lead teams in environmental permit development, oversee SWPPP processes, manage risk, and represent clients at meetings while ensuring adherence to regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related sciences field.
• 7+ years of experience obtaining Regulatory Permits with state, federal and municipal agencies.
• Experience preparing, editing and interpreting studies for regulatory filings.
• Experience working in a team environment to site facilities in the energy sector.

• Review project scope and determine applicable permits.
• Develop or coordinate development of required environmental permits.
• Manage progress against plans and mitigate risks.
• Verify compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Represent the client at public or regulatory meetings.
