Job summary

Maryland Environmental Service is seeking a Senior Operations Manager for the Environmental Operations Group at the Midshore II Regional Landfill in Ridgely, Maryland.

This role plans, coordinates, and directs daily facility operations, ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance, and serves as the liaison between MES Headquarters and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus 7 years applicable experience and 4 years supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste, bio-solids management or construction activities.
• 10 years of progressively responsive experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment or working in field operations applicable to the hiring facility, including a lead role.
• Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.

• Plan, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
• Serve as the primary liaison between MES Headquarters and facility personnel, providing leadership and strategic oversight.
