About Us
FedUp Foods is one of the largest functional beverage manufacturers in the U.S. and an early pioneer in kombucha through our Buchi brand. We serve top global retailers with a diverse portfolio of organic, private-label functional beverages - including kombucha, kefir soda, and cold brew - all crafted to nourish people and the planet. With multiple production sites and continued growth, we're on a mission to build a better beverage industry rooted in sustainability, equity, and safety.
About the Role
We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Senior EHS Manager to lead and continuously improve our environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple facilities. If you've got a solid track record in beverage or food manufacturing and a passion for building safer, more sustainable workplaces, this is your chance to make a real impact. You'll guide site-level safety coordinators, manage compliance programs, and help instill a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Lead EHS compliance efforts across our manufacturing and distribution sites, ensuring alignment with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies.
Build and maintain safety programs and emergency response plans, including SDCP, SWPPP, and waste water prevention.
Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-through on corrective actions.
Analyze safety performance data to identify trends and create strategic safety initiatives.
Facilitate Safety Committees at each site and coach EHS Coordinators to drive results and consistency.
Develop and deliver training on hazard recognition, emergency response, GMPs, and environmental procedures.
Foster a safety-first culture by engaging employees, encouraging reporting, and celebrating wins.
Act as the primary liaison for regulatory inspections and audits.
Maintain and submit OSHA logs and other required reports accurately and on time.
Monitor emerging EHS regulations and technologies to keep our facilities ahead of the curve.
Coordinate security protocols related to site safety and emergency preparedness.
Support sustainability efforts to reduce our carbon footprint and increase recycling initiatives.
What You Bring
7-10 years of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food or beverage.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (or 10+ years of relevant experience).
CSP, CHMM, or other professional certification preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage teams, influence behaviors, and build trust across departments.
Experience coaching safety teams and leading culture change.
Ability to work flexible hours and respond to off-shift incidents or emergencies as needed.
Strong computer skills; experience with ERP systems a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, noisy, and non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
Will frequently walk on wet or uneven surfaces and navigate equipment-dense areas.
Requires regular lifting of up to 50 lbs. and occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Travel required up to 30%.
