Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, to lead investigations and remedial designs for contaminated sites. You will collaborate with project managers and technical staff to produce reports, cost estimates, and permit applications that advance cleanup strategies.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in remediation, a PE license, strong communication, and hands-on experience with soil and groundwater technologies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field.
10+ years of experience in remedial investigation, design and implementation of remedial actions, including some project management experience.
Current Professional Engineer (PE) license recognized by the licensing board for the position location.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications (including Access, Excel, Word).
Experience with soil and groundwater remedial technologies.

Responsibilities

Conduct, supervise or direct investigation, evaluation and remedial design of contaminated sites.
Work with Project Managers and technical team members to develop project deliverables, including technical reports and design drawings.
Engage with agencies and clients to negotiate remedial actions.
Prepare reports, work plans and feasibility studies.
Supervise remedial construction management projects as needed.
Serve as Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-size projects as needed.
Participate in marketing efforts for remediation design projects.
