Job summary

HydroGeoLogic is seeking an Environmental Engineer IV for our Ballston Lake, NY office. You will lead remediation projects and provide technical support for federal and state clients across the eastern United States.

The role requires 10+ years in environmental engineering, PE/IEIT-like credentials, and a track record of managing complex projects, with in-office responsibilities in Ballston Lake, just north of Albany.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong writing skills for technical reports and work plans.
• Experience coordinating field subcontractors for investigations/remediation.
• Engineer-in-Training Certification.
• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Ability to learn new technologies and digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise junior and mid-level staff.
• Develop and review engineering studies, plans, designs, and specifications for investigations/remediation.
• Interface with managers, government customers, and contractors.
• Lead project teams to meet objectives and align with client expectations.
• Manage project financials, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Prepare remediation work plans, RI/FS, SSHP/HASPs, and design documents.
• Develop alternatives evaluation and design for environmental remediation activities.
• Prepare design calculations and cost estimates.
• Utilize AI-assisted tools to support documentation, data analysis, and communication.
• Provide technical support across investigation, planning, design, implementation, and completion.
