Job summary

Florence Copper is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to lead compliance efforts in our Florence, AZ facility. A Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering and 7+ years of full-time environmental experience are required, with familiarity in major regulations such as TSCA, NEPA, EPCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, RCRA and SDWA.

Responsibilities include enforcing environmental programs, evaluating test results, managing reporting, and guiding plant personnel on regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.
• Minimum seven years of full-time environmental compliance experience.
• Experience with TSCA, NEPA, EPCRA, CWA, CAA, CERCLA, RCRA, and SDWA.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of applicable environmental regulations and policies.
• Provide compliance recommendations for permits and requirements.
• Enforce and update environmental compliance programs across air, water, waste and other areas.
• Evaluate environmental test results for regulatory compliance.
• Handle waste for remediation and packaging with proper labeling.
• Maintain reporting and renewal documentation as required by law.
• Support troubleshooting of plant environmental systems and equipment.
• Research information and compile status, risk, and site characterization reports.
• Manage EHS incident investigations.
