Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an experienced environmental attorney to join its in‑house legal team’s Health, Environmental, Safety, Security & Product Quality (HESS&PQ) practice group in Findlay, Ohio. The role focuses on advancing safety and environmental stewardship and managing environmental risk across facilities and projects.

The incumbent will advise on regulatory compliance, permit processes, due diligence for transactions, and interaction with regulatory agencies,

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree required.
• Current license to practice law in a U.S. state; membership in good standing; Ohio or other State Bar.
• 5+ years of relevant legal experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal support for environmental/regulatory matters for Marathon operating units.
• Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
• Provide environmental law support for corporate transactions, including due diligence and M&A activity.
• Interact with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies and colleagues in the Law Organization.
