Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, seeks an Aerospace Engineer - Environmental Control Systems to support the Army Maneuver Air Directorate in Huntsville, Alabama. The role requires extensive experience in ECS, airworthiness qualification, and DoD program support, including thermal analyses.

You will review test plans, analyze data, and contribute to engineering deliverables while collaborating across teams to ensure system performance and airworthiness.

Qualifications

• 15+ years with Bachelor's, 13 with Master's, 10 with PhD/JD, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to document processes for Environmental Control Systems airworthiness qualification and produce memorandums and briefings.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and parts lists and write clear memorandums.

Responsibilities

• Review test plans, test reports and analyses for compliance with specifications and qualification requirements.
• Review quality escapes and MRBs and document airworthiness concerns.
• Provide recommendations on test coverage, risks, corrective actions, and improvements.
• Support test witnessing, evaluation of results, and post-test inspections.
• Participate in program reviews and technical meetings; support ECS improvements under the Component Improvement Program.
• Provide support for Depot/repair activities, M&O planning, and PVAs.
• Assist with alternate source evaluations, intercept actions, and DLA engineering requests.
• Provide input on CBM and Cost Wise Readiness related to Environmental Control Systems.
