Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an Environmental Safety leader to direct development and implementation of programs across the Wake, NC market with oversight of regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes collaboration with leadership, training across the organization and reporting of environmental safety metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Management, Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance or related field.
• Five (5) years' experience in related safety field.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with demonstration of skill and competence in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct development, planning and implementation of environmental safety programs and procedures in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Assist with environmental safety strategy development and action plans for organizational sustainability.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts including pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation and renewable energy.
