Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead compliance initiatives in air, water, and waste management. The role involves developing strategies, guiding compliance programs, and mentoring peers across the organization, with emphasis on regulatory documentation and permit processes.

The ideal candidate will have eight years of environmental experience, strong project planning skills, and a proven ability to collaborate with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum eight (8) years environmental experience.
• Functional and technical expertise in air, water, and/or waste.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Safety as the utmost priority.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and provide guidance on environmental processes and policies.
• Assess environmental risk and recommend actions, including regulatory documentation.
• Participate in environmental project planning and implementation, including scheduling, cost estimating, EIA, and reporting.
• Provide guidance and mentor others.
• Prepare and submit applications for environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations.
• Coordinate with company partners.
• Perform environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations as needed.
• Identify environmental training needs and provide training.
• Develop, recommend, and implement improvements for air, water, waste management, and/or remediation systems and practices.
• Prepare and submit required compliance reports and certifications.
• Develop and maintain environmental compliance documentation.
• Cultivate relationships with regulatory agencies.
• Interpret federal, state, and local environmental regulations and ensure compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
