Job summary

ERM is recruiting for a Senior Consultant, Environmental Compliance Engineer or Scientist, Sustainable Operations in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role focuses on delivering environmental permitting, compliance programs, and sustainability solutions for diverse clients, with travel across Northern California.

You will work under supervision of senior staff, supporting projects from planning to execution, ensuring regulatory alignment and high-quality deliverables while building strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in environmental studies or science, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance, permitting, and agency coordination.
• Experience performing environmental compliance assessments and audits at industrial facilities.
• Knowledge of SPCC, IGP stormwater, wastewater, and hazardous waste regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with scope, budget, schedule, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver environmental permitting and compliance support for industrial and commercial clients.
• Support hazardous waste, wastewater, SPCC, NPDES, and stormwater programs.
• Conduct audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with ERM project managers, technical teams, and clients.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality technical work products.
• Help identify practical, sustainable compliance solutions meeting client needs.
