Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience practicing U.S. environmental law with emphasis on energy, infrastructure, or large-scale development projects.
• Proven ability in environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, enforcement, and transactional matters.
• Experience leading due diligence and negotiations in complex deals related to real estate and energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on federal and state environmental regulations (CERCLA, CAA, RCRA, ECL, SEQRA, NAV).
• Represent clients in permitting, compliance, enforcement, and regulatory matters.
• Structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial real estate transactions.
• Lead environmental due diligence for mergers, project finance, and real estate transactions.
• Draft environmental provisions in purchase, sale, financing, and development agreements.
• Manage permitting processes for air, water, wetlands, energy, and infrastructure projects.
• Advise on remediation and Brownfield redevelopment strategies.
• Collaborate with developers, lenders, utilities, and project stakeholders.
• Review Phase I/II ESAs and other technical environmental reports.
